Administration and Sharing Software via web for any type of files.

INTRODUCTION

FileShare allows sharing files of any type between authorised users. The application is made in PHP and works with Apache-Linux server and PHP and MySQL supports. With "FileShare" it is possible to manage the creation, pubblication, reading, download and display, ... therefore a complete sharing of files between registered and authorised users. Is of much use for those companies which need to share files of any type (immages, price lists, software, brochures, documents) with users like: agents, clients, coworkers, partners, members ..., also preserving the discretion of information through certified access to those documents. All operations are performed via WEB, with immediate results. The structure of the files could be set up by more folders, one for each user besides a "General" folder with free accsess for all users. This way, the ADMIN can make accessible a determined file to a specified user or to all registered users. The application includes a control panel for the administrator of the site through which he has the possibility to create unlimited users, and post permission for each and everyone of them. The types of permission can be briefly resumed in:

ADMIN = permission of creating users + readind, writting and erasing in every folder and sub-folders.
USER with UNLIMITED POWER = can create, pubblish, modify, eliminate ...files of the personal folder, besides copy, reading, download files from "General" folder + personal folder.                      USER with LIMITED POWER = can copy, read, download files from his personal folder but has no writting power.

FUNCTIONALITY

FileShare is not just another software  on your PC, but rather an APPLICATION for web sites (on web servers). For this reason it's funtioning is connected to a sequence of information and permission of access which is essential. Nearly all WebServers, for security reasons, are minimizing the use of remote pubblication and execution. For accurate installation and functioning of FileShare on web-server it is essential to get the necessary permission.

This version of FileShare inculdes:
a) the sofrware's installer (performs the installation on your PC)
b) the remote installer for the MySQL data base creation (in case the server accepts this type of connection)
c) the remote installer, via HTTP, for the MySQL data base creation (in case the server DOES NOT accept the remote cennection to MySQL)
d) the software's computerised registration procedure
The steps to follow are:
1) remove any possible past installations of the same prgramme.
2) download the installer from the indicated URL
3) start installing "FileShare.exe"
4) reebot operational system to render the installation effective
5) run the programme from "Avvio../Programmi/Eurosoft/FileShare/File Share Installer"
6) proceed with the remote installation providing all requested details, in case the data base remote installation can't take place for permission reasons, complete the guided procedure to the end anyway, ... In the nick of time the installer will connect to server via HTTP to complete the creation of the necessary structure.
7) to the completion that took place is required to activate the authorization CHMOD 777 to file"custom_settings.php" and to folder "files/Generale" (via FTP)

To the completion of the installation that took place it is possible:
a) to test the software in DEMO version (for a limited time the functions that have been described)
b)t o register the software (if in possesion of a register code) from the path "Avvio../Programmi/Eurosoft/FileShare/Register File Share"
c) run the software using the path that has been indicated when it was installed ( ex.: http://test1.eurosito.it/files/login.php ).
It is possible to enter the above mentioned site for exapmle through one of these methods:

Password= pass

PS: The software had been tested on three different webservers and works corectly, however it is possible to notice permission or immage display problems (for example the immage "upload_.gif"). In such case it is required to activate CHMOD permission via FTP and if necessary substitute the immage "upload_.gif" present in the "img" folder with this one http://1.eurosito.it/files/img/upload_.gif (save in local and upload via FTP).

For the next months is scheduled a new version which will contain "help" files and a slighter procedure of installation guided via WIZARD. For those who in the meantime will have already bought the current version, the update is cost-free!

The versions

• Demo: ...limited version of "FileShare" with the purpose to provide the user with a complete vision of the programme's functionality, for a short period of time and to a limited number of users, folders and amount of manageable files. However the application's functions are the same as in the complete version. This version's apllied restrictions are:                               - Creation of a number of maximum 2 USERS
  - Creation of maximum 3 FOLDERS
  - Creation of maximim 5 FILES

• Light: allows the creation/pubblication of the application on just one domain. Inside the site that FileShare had been pubblished is possible to create or manage unlimited users, folders and files.
  Order the software at Euro 80,00 + VAT.

• Base allows the creation/pubblication of the application on five domains. Inside the site that FileShare had been pubblished is possible to create or manage unlimited users, folders and files.
  Order the software at Euro 150,00 + VAT.

• Pro: allows the creation/pubblication of the application on infinite domains. Inside the site that FileShare had been pubblished is possible to create or manage unlimited users, folders and files.
  Order the software at Euro 280,00 + VAT.
